Play and Game Options

Game Options belongs to Play. Use the gear button beside the Play board—or the mobile Menu action—to adjust the current game and board.

  • Engine – Choose the supported engine for the game.
  • Chess960 – Enable or disable Chess960 before starting a compatible game.
  • Board setup – Flip the board, paste a FEN, or edit the position.
  • Game actions – Start a new game, begin engine-versus-engine play, or export the current PGN.

Frequently asked questions

Why does CAISSA Classic open first?

Classic is the default homepage experience. Direct workspace links such as Play, Analyze, Help, and Endgame Library preserve their requested destination on a cold load.

Where did global Settings go?

The former Settings destination contained game and board controls, so those controls now live contextually in Play under Game Options.

How do I close Game Options?

Use the X button, press Escape, or select outside the dialog. Your current game remains in place.

Where can I send feedback?

Use Share an Idea / Contact & Feedback in the sidebar.
